Fireside Concerts

Fireside Concert Series, 190 Borchard Road, Newbury Park, CA

I'll be playing a couple old favorites, as well as a selection from my new third album, "Tell Me a Story," with my great band: John O'Kennedy on lead guitar and mandolin; Cinder Jean on harmony vocals and percussion; and Gary Lynch on bass. Better still, I'm one of four acts for the evening, including boogiewoogie man, Rob Rio; bluesman, Bob Jones; and singer/songwriter Jim St. Ours.

THE VOTE SONG is intended as a rally song. Infused with an engaging reggae beat and a powerful chant, it is an upbeat call to action -- simple, legal, peaceful and realistic action: Just vote! While the song enumerates many of the problems we face these days, it is intended to provide an inspiring alternative to despair.
It is my passionate hope that this song will motivate at least a few people to turn their outrage into hope, and "get out there and vote!"
